On December 15,2017 Cao Jie,party secretary & chairman of the group,was invited to attend China Youth Forum .Sharing Economy hosted in Peking University and made a keynote speech--the Money-Losing Bookstore that subverts the Industry.Zhai Lingyun,member of party committee and general manager of Wanxin media and Xiao Jinhe,group deputy general manager ,were also present at the forum.
In the speech, Cao Jie said that new technology, new media and new retail sales have led to profound changes in the way consumers read and buy.These changes exert huge impact on the operation of physical bookstores. The shared bookstore is the specific practice of Anhui Xinhua Distribution Group implementing digital platform strategy. It is an inevitable outcome of online-offline integration development, and an important way to promote Nationwide Reading.He introduced that shared bookstores, as one direction of cultural industry development in the sharing economy, break the previous buying and borrowing books experience.After paying a deposit,readers can get access to massive books in the timing and quantitative manner.This practice saves logistics cost, and opens up an experiential consumption in which people will decide to buy books after they have taken a look.Cao Jie noted that the U bookstore landed this year in Peking University was designed to create good reading conditions for university students. Our group's core value is Better oneself,Better the world. This is also our initial intention to build shared bookstores. Sharing requires original aspiration, environmental friendliness and utmost good faith to the people around.
Professon Cai Jian, from Guanghua School of Management of Peking University, shared the idea of Sharing creates new economy;the meaning of economy is shared life with Sharing energy body: talent fusion and value fission as the theme, and discussed how to achieve talent value sharing.Peking University School of Arts Professor Xiang Yong made a thematic speech on Creative Economy: sharing economy innovation model of digital culture industry ,in which he delved deeper into this brand new innovation model-- Internet plus Cultural Content Creation.
During the communication , Cao Jie, Cai Jian and Xiang Yong answered the enthusiastic questions from Peking University students.
